As a photographer and media specialist at the U.S. Department of Interior, I am drawn to the historical ‘records’ of the land. From the geologic deep-time echoing through desert canyons to the multi-generational rookeries of Elephant Seals along the coastline, precious records of what this world was like before Humans are still waiting to be discovered.
Whether I’m photographing the exceptional landscapes of California, directing a short documentary for a visitors center, or writing about these amazing places, I always strive to capture the compelling stories and wild beauty of our shared public lands.
Most of my work is in the public domain unless otherwise watermarked.
